The new award winning cruiser from X-Yachts
On Saturday the 17th January 2009, Managing Director and Owner of X-Yachts, Lars Jeppesen, was handed over the Award "European Yacht of the Year 2009" for the Xc 45 at the boot Düsseldorf in Germany.
The nominated yachts in the category "Luxury Cruiser" were:
* BORDEAUX 60
* CONTEST 60CS
* MOODY 45 DS
* NAJAD 505
* Xc 45
The jury, consisting of journalists from ten European boat magazines, stated that X-Yachts had made an impressive achievement with the new Xc 45, and that the compromise between comfort, safety and performance had been successful indeed.
For the first time ever, the innovative Danish yacht company has extended its traditionally trimmed sporting yachts with a new luxury cruiser. It was further expressed that the new Xc 45 is a true product of X-Yachts; its proud traditions, quality and style, which were also precisely why the visually attractive yacht received points from the jury.
Thanks to a variety of useful options, the cruiser is very well suited for various kinds of sailing. With the Xc project (c stands for cruising), the designer Niels Jeppesen and his team has proved not only courage and flexibility, but also skills in dealing with new challenges and ideas.
